Would you like to be able to expand your CSA program or regularly attend more markets? Have you ever thought of agri-tourism and value-added production as a means of growing your farm business? If so, then join us as Steve and Lisa Cooper walk us through the history of their farm and show us the ins and outs of growing a successful business.
A Bit About The Coopers
After graduating college together in 1993, the couple began to expand the family cattle and sweet corn business into what has become one of the largest CSA programs in east central Ontario (400+ members), as well as a destination farm that includes a 10 acre corn maze which attracts close 10,000 visitors each year. The farm is also home to a value-added production facility, where they produce items for their online webstore. The couple also regularly attends four regional farmers' markets and runs a well-known roadside stand north of Newmarket. For more information about the farm, check out their website.
